March 2020: Hamburg-based company vilisto has received the Innovation Award for Climate and Environment 2020 in the category “Use of digital change for climate and environmentally friendly innovations”. From more than 140 applicants, seven companies were awarded the Innovation Prize in various categories by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) and the Federation of German Industries (BDI) for solutions.

The Hamburg-based company offers digital and self-learning heat management for non-residential buildings. Their “ovis” radiator thermostats with integrated presence detection save an average of 25 percent of heating energy.

“We are overjoyed and proud to receive this prestigious award. It not only acknowledges the work of the entire team, but also confirms once again the relevance of our digital heat management solution and that we are on the right track with our climate mission”, says vilisto.

Due to the current situation caused by the corona virus and the restrictions associated with it, the team dialed in from their home offices via video conference to celebrate.
