X1Wind at La Vanguardia: “Conquering the wind from the sea”
X1 Wind, one of the start-ups supported by EIT InnoEnergy, was featured in one of the most relevant newspapers in Spain, La Vanguardia.
The newspaper, that considerer the technology developed by the Spanish team as “innovative and disruptive”, highlights how the offshore wind turbines created by X1 Wind contribute to a cut on the costs of this type of renewable energy and how they were able to cut the weight of the turbine, although it is taller when compared to others.
In the interview, the CEO, Alex Raventos, also highlights the importance of the Cleantech Camp contest, organized by EIT InnoEnergy, Gas Natural and Barcelona Activa: “The contest gave them «the necessary strength to push the project forward»”, according to the co-founder.
